Give them a team and they will
come...Central Coast Stadium.
Why the Coast can’t be
beaten
If logic is included in the deliberations by the NRL when it considers
whether to add a 16th team to the competition, they will see that the
Central Coast is the only area that should be granted a license.
The Gold Coast has already failed to maintain a first-grade side and
the other option is Wellington. Why is Wellington even an option? The
competition is called the National Rug by League, not the Inter
national Rugby League. It’s bad enough having a team called the New
Zealand Warriors playing in our NRL.
As it stands, the Central Coast has a private backer with a sound
financial plan and the area has one of the highest growth rates in the
country. The junior ranks have the potential to keep the club
competitive for many decades to come.
Also, Bears supporters have suffered long enough. This is one of the
original clubs and deserves a fair go.
