To The Chief Editor, Ron Bendall

Recently your newspaper quoted an NRL insider as stating the NRL would not give a licence to the Central Coast if the Bears are involved. This situation reminds me of the time when the NRL was applying it’s criteria for reduction of the number of teams forcing mainly traditional clubs to merge or be thrown out all because NRL board members could not count beyond the number 14. At this time faceless and nameless board members we’re leaking horrendously hurtful things to the press. With no one responsible even the media found it difficult to pin anyone down. When is the NRL going to act in an open and truthful manor? If the NRL has already made a discission that the Bears are out why don’t they publicly say so? Even worse we don’t know why. The Bears are no longer in debt (they made a profit last financial year) and Singo is happy to have them involved. What is the problem? Frankly these people make me sick to my stomach and I as a long time Bears supporter will not accept such a discission lying down. Do I sound angry? You’re bloody well right I am!

Sincerely,
