your say on rugby league with the Rugby League Week Reader Poll.
Recently
Rugby League Week published it's annual "Players Poll". Amongst many
other questions the players were asked if there should be a 16th team
and who should it be. Frankly if you want to see the results then buy
the bloody magazine, I'm not reprinting them here.
At any
rate I can't tell you how disappointed and angry I am about how the
players have voted. If it were not for traditional clubs such as the
Bears having built up over the years a competition that allows them to
do what they love AND get paid for it who know what their life would be
like. Good on players such as Matt Orford, Paul Stringer, Glenn
Morrison etc. for acknowledging that tradition and loyalty is what
makes
rugby league passion.
But Rugby
League Week is giving us fans a change to put these non-believing
player in their place. The magazine is running a readers poll that
includes that topical question about the 16th team.
It will be
a tough ask for us. The link on Channel Nine's Footy Show website has
been timed to coincide with one of the most cringe inducing and
sickening over promotions in the history of TV of an over marketed over
researched Gold Coast bid franchise.
So Bears fans everywhere log on here and vote and tell those players who's boss.
