General Manager Greg Florimo recalled what proved the greatest come back win of the season possibly in any grade when the Bears defeated Cronulla 24-20 after not only being down 20-0 at the 60 min mark but surviving without a player who was sent off in the first tackle of the match. Suggesting that there was a bit of Queensland in the performance Flo said “the win showed the commitment and camaraderie that Gary [Larson] has tried to instil in the team”.
Then came the awards ceremony;
Best & Fairest Player (Jersey Flegg) - Sema Mataora
Best & Fairest Player (Premier League) - Ben Fisher
Players Player (Jersey Flegg) - Johnny Russell
Players Player (Premier League) - Matt Thurston
Clubman - Bobby Bright

Highest Points Scorer – Scott McLean
Congratulations to all winners!
The evening concluded with comedian Nick Penn who was not only funny but also showed himself to be talented on the guitar and didgeridoo. --------------------------------------------------------------------
