Bring Back the Bears

On the 16th of August the NRL partnership committee will meet to hopefully decide whether to expand the NRL competition to include a 16th team for the 2006 season. The Central Coast Bears have been building towards this momentus occassion since the downfall of the Northern Eagles in 2002.
Many rugby league fans support the proposed 16th team, but there has been much speculation as to where it should be located. The Central Coast Bears, Wellington Orcas and the Gold Coast Dolphins are all bidding for just the one position.

The Bears bid should be irresistable! The bid team possess one of the Countries best Rugby League facilities in Central Coast Express Advocate Stadium, a huge junior base, the support of two major leagues clubs, the backing of a multi millionaire businessman Mr John Singleton, but more importantly they posses something the NRL has been lacking since the Super League sabotage of our great game - TRADITION! The Bears are one of the oldest rugby league clubs in Australia and have some of the most passionate supporters in the game. It is high time the NRL made up their minds and welcomed back the Mighty Bears!
