Tyran Smith Set for Awaited Return
RAIDERS.COM.AU- 7/7/2004

Injured Fone Zone Canberra Raiders forward Tyran Smith is set for a return to the action this weekend, after being named in the Raiders Premier league lineup for this Saturday's home clash against North Sydney.

Smith, who's been named on the interchange bench by coach Wayne Collins, has been sidelined for nearly 2 months with a neck strain and it was feared at one stage he may not have made it back this season.

The side will be bolstered even further by the return of Michael Weyman, who missed last weeks clash against the Tigers after suffering a bad concussion against the Newtown Jets in round 16.

The 2003 premiers are making their charge to the finals and after a shaky start to the season, are now only one win out of the top four.

The Canberra Stadium action starts at 2:00pm this Saturday with the Raiders Jersey Flegg side, still holding on to a slim chance of a finals spot, taking on the North Sydney Bears in an absolute must-win match for the side.
