This round the North Sydney Premier League team suffered another loss
to the undefeated
Roosters. However their performance was improved over their loss to
Souths last week. Christian Hill scored the first of two trys in the
final 5 minutes of the first half bringing the score to 32-6 in favour
of the Roosters at half time.
10 minutes into the second coming off the bench Namila Davui ran in for
a try. Nathan Ferguson successfully converted both trys Scott McLean
(the usual kicker) left the field concussed in the first half the
result of an accidental knee. Scott is expected to be back for the game
against St George Illawarra.
Final score 36-12 to the Roosters.
Coach Gary Larsen named Ben Fisher, Matt Thurston and Paddy Williams as
“Working hard and clinical in defence”.
“There’s still another 14 rounds to go and we’re still plugging on”
said Gary. When asked about his opposition next week Gary replied
“we’re really just concerned about our own performance and improving
that”
And Bears fans having witnessed some remarkable performances from the
Bears this year may well yet have something to look forward to.
