North Sydney's Premier League coach Gary Larson believes too many minor
mistakes are not allowing his team to play to their full potential.
"It's easy to fix, just complete your tackles and don't drop the ball"
said coach Larson.
On Sunday at Aussie Stadium the out of form Bears came up against an
inform South Sydney outfit.
Souths first try came within the first 4 min followed within minutes by
another to make it 10-0.
For the next 15 minutes the Bears capably held out Souths from a
sustained attach on their line. However at the 20 minute mark Souths
broke through and scored then 4 minutes later scored again to make it
22-0.
After last week collapsing from giving his heart and sole against
Parramatta Norths Captain Ben Black made a trademark break against the
play shooting through a pass to team mate Matt Thurston who ran 10-15
metres before passing back to Ben who scored and with the conversion
kick by Scott McLean successful the score became 22-6 with 8 left in
the first.
The impressive play however did not last as Souths ran in another try
in the last minute of the half. Score 28-6.
The run of play continued in Souths favour in the second half as the
Rabbitohs ran in 5 trys. Final score 52-6.
"It's the little things we're not getting right" said coach Gary
Larson. "unfortunately a lot of little mistakes can cause bigger
problems which can lead to more problems".
Gary named his standouts as Ben FIsher who "tackled himself to a stand
still", Paddy Williamson "was solid in defence" and Matt Thurston and
Wayne McDade repeated their strong showing from the Parramatta match.
