WELCOME TO THE PORTFOLIO WEBSITE OF STEVE LITTLE

In summary my main area of expertise is web design, however I am also a sports photographer specialising in Rugby League. In recent years I have begun to swing towards design with writing rounding out my skills. I also currently work in the area of human resources for Fire & Rescue NSW. Film has continued to be an interest all my life.

I am currently in the process of updating and improving my skills beginning with a course in “Interactive Digital Media” at North Sydney TAFE.

WEB DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT

Since about June 2005 I have built and maintained the official website for the North Sydney District Rugby League Football Club. When I say, “built & maintained” I have redesigned and rebuilt the site three times over to keep up with trends. I’m well acquainted with HTML, CSS & Dreamweaver. I have used some PHP scripting. I regularly use Photoshop in the building & maintenance of the site. I have created and maintained some Flash objects on the site including banner ads and match information widgets. While my Flash skills have yet to be fully developed my current studies have enabled me to go a bit further and create some typography animation. As part of the TAFE course I will be creating a Flash intro video which will be part of the redevelopment of my own site www.redandblackzone.com which has remained dormant since 2005 when I left it to develop the Football Club’s website. I began work on the RedAndBlackZone in 2003.

Skills I will be working on improving over the next 12 months regarding web design include -

PHP/MYSQL/JavaScript
CMS Wordpress/Joomla!/Drupal
Flash/ActionScript/Fireworks/Flash Builder/Flash Catalyst
HTML5/Mobile Web Design/Device Central
Forms development in Dreamweaver
